Asharqia Chamber hosts the President of "King Fahd University" in a meeting on Tuesday
Dr. Al-Saqqaf: Expanding the fields of scientific research to develop the diversity of the local economy
The President of King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals, Dr. Muhammad bin Mohsen Al-Saqqaf, confirmed that the university interacts with various external parties to support scientific research and makes it a priority to serve the economic sector in the Kingdom.
Dr. Al-Saqqaf said during Tuesday's monthly meeting for the business sector organized by Asharqia Chamber on Tuesday evening, February 7, 2023, in the presence of the Chamber's president, Badr bin Suleiman Al-Ruzaiza, and a remarkable number of the business sector, academics, and interested parties that the university has taken important steps to expand the fields of practical research and motivate its pioneers through restructuring departments and departments. To achieve interaction and mixing between related fields, to develop and diversify the local economy.
Al-Saqqaf indicated during the meeting, which was moderated by the Secretary General of the Asharqia Chamber, Abdul Rahman bin Abdullah Al-Wabel, that the community of businessmen and women in the eastern region always interacts with the university's initiatives and is keen to support its initiatives, especially in what contributes to the advancement of the local community, the development of the working mechanism in the national economy, and the promotion of innovation and human capacity development.
The university was keen to develop its partnerships with major research institutions and universities, and it is currently working on developing practical research to contribute to the diversification of the national economy and to place the Kingdom in the ranks of developed countries, based on its vision that emphasizes the qualification of the best human cadres among its graduates to be the best choice in the labor market. Focusing on applied research in the field of natural development and exploiting it, with an interest in research that addresses qualitative development issues, developing academic programs, continuing to adhere to distinguished academic programs for undergraduate studies, developing postgraduate programs in the latest disciplines, and developing various means that help students learn and acquire knowledge to raise their level of educational attainment.
Dr. Al-Saqqaf stated that the university is currently keen to implement many plans and programs and is looking forward to a greater partnership with the business sector in the eastern region, stressing the university's support for everything that would serve the economic sector in the region.
